love, Dara
Why did i decide to start dress by dara?
Ever since I was a young girl, I was always obsessed with fashion, thinking about what I would wear, how I would accessorize, and how I could help others look their best.
I was always super organized, so I would lay out my outfits for the week to be sure that I had a good mix of color, style, fun and comfort.
I was constantly following the trends and updating my wardrobe with additional and new pieces, as needed.
While in college, I interned for both Armani and Donna Karan, as I always assumed I would pursue a career in fashion.
After college, I began to act on this dream, and worked at Larry Levine coats to better understand the industry.
However, life has an interesting way of playing out, and I decided to pursue a career in school administration.
While the overlap between fashion and school administration may not seem obvious to all, they both allowed me to prioritize what I believe to be my greatest strength – the ability to help others be successful and feel their best.
Throughout these years in the educational field, I never lost my passion for fashion. While working for 20 years as a school administrator, I dressed modestly, but always fashion forward.
I realized that there was no one style for every day and every situation, and that the beauty of fashion is that people can feel special and look their best for different occasions.
I strongly believe that women, no matter if playing tennis or working in an office, can always look their best and choose clothing that fits their bodies and accentuate their beauty.
I have been helping friends as long as I can remember with their clothing choices and love every minute of seeing them feeling confident and secure after I’ve helped them to feel their very best!
My roots began in South Orange, New Jersey where I spent a good part of my childhood. My adult married years began in Miami Beach, Florida where I still live today. I have three young adult children who are my greatest accomplishments :)
In my spare time, I play tennis, workout, read, travel and of course shop!
